I cannot believe it! A tenant had a friend over. The kids were skating on the front porch and fell and the mother is now suing me! She didn't fall thru a hole in the porch. She didn't trip over messed up flooring that I failed to repair. She was skating, as kids do, and fell, as kids do. And this is somehow my fault.
I am having murderous rages.
To top it off, the mother gets medical help from the government. She had NO out of pocket expenses for caring for her child. I could see if she couldn't afford to get medical help, then out of desparation, she could sue me. She is a single mother - how many of these people ever have a man in the picture?? But she had all medical bills paid for - by me and every other working American. What more does she want? Just free cash?
I am LIVID!
I need to go cool off. But how?

Hurricane's A'Comin'!!
Can you believe it???!! Hurricane Dolly is coming to splash a bunch of rain our way. Now it is almost impossible that the septic system will be installed next week. So we will have to wait for Dolly to leave and then the ground to dry out. Crazy! My mom did say we could haul her camper out there to live in, so we at least have that if school starts before we are ready. And school starts in THREE WEEKS!! I'm depressed . . .

The Big Move!!
The pot is growing! If you aren't in yet, you'd better soon. The last day to vote is Friday.
So can we do it? Can we move our home, deck, porch, and everything else in 3 weeks? Water lines are in the ground. Electric trench is dug and awaiting Slemco to run wires. Septic system should be going in next week. Mobile home mover is on stand by.
So can it be done? I have a sneaking suspicion we will be living in a camper for a couple of weeks. But as long as Arden doesn't have to start a new school in the middle of the year, I will be happy.
We mowed the lawn this weekend. It actually looked like a lawn! With the long grass and cows roaming and pooping on it for so long I had a hard time envisioning it as a lawn with kids slip n sliding and playing ball and bar b ques. But I can see it now. I even saw in my mind's eye where I wanted my citrus orchard. It is getting exciting. We are so close!!
First thing we are going to do is get a dog. A black lab. Suggestions on names would be nice. What do you thing???
